The
mountain of Špičák can be found in the western part of Bohemia,
not far from the city Železná Ruda, close to the German border. It
offers the best opportunities for skiing at the Czech side of the Šumava
mountains. You will find all levels of skiing here, from beginners till
very skilled skiers. Beginners can use a practice downhill, with ski school
and the use of a tow. Also the blue skiing track number 2 can be
interesting. More advanced skiers can use the tracks number 2 and 3, and
the bravest among us can try the steep parts of track 3, which also can
be comfortably skied around it. Skiers who enjoy very steep downhill's,
can choose the black level downhill number 4. His nickname is
"Chance". The first part is a bit gently, but the second part
is really cool. The downhill number 5, named "Lubák" is
lighted and treated with artificial snow. All slopes, except the cool
part of downhill number 4 are treated with artificial snow. The area
offers ski schools and a rental office for ski equipment.
