Tanvaldský Špičák is the biggest winter center in the Jizera mountains and is one of the best known centers in the Czech Republic. The quality of the slopes is maintained by daily preparation and with the use of powerful snowmaking machines. The downhill slopes have different grades of difficulty, so are suitable for all levels of the more experienced skier. Parking is close to the ski lifts. Many downhill competitions are held in Tanvaldský Špičák. The skiing tickets are also valid for two other big winter centers in the Jizera mountains: Bedřichov and Severák. This year new four chair lift Doppelmayr was built. The centre is connected to cross-country skiing tracks of Jizerská magistrála - connection from Sedlo pod Špičákem to Knajpa. Jizerská magistrála provides more than 80 km prepared cross-country skiing tracks of all difficulty levels.
