The village Josefův Důl is
situated in the center of the Jizera mountains. The location ensures
enough snow. Snow is here approximately 100 days in the winter season.
Josefův Důl has 1000 inhabitants. The accommodation capacity
(in pensions, hotels and private houses) is 1400 beds. If you like to
travel to Prague, it will be no problem. Public transport such as a
train is going every 40 minutes. By bus you can travel during the
weekend. Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou are cities close by. In Josefův
Důl you'll find shops, 10 restaurants, pharmacy, a practical
doctor and a dentist. Josefův Důl has 3 skiing areas, and they
are open daily. Ski "Lucifer" - 3 ski lifts from 110 m till
500 m, night skiing, restaurant and ski rental and service and parking
(for free). "Jatka" - 1 ski lift 260 m, night skiing, buffet.
"Bukovka" - 2 ski lifts 800 m and 450 m, 1 children ski lift,
night skiing on small ski lift, buffet and ski school. The downhill's
are from 500 m till 800 m and have snow canons. 800 meters downhill is
lighted.
