Hotel, leisure time, recreation & accommodation
The Hotel Panorama is a three star family Hotel with a panoramic view in a
beautiful natural environment above the town of Blansko. It is situated at
an elevation of 460 meters. The name of the Hotel is derived from the
panorama which opens up to the guests from the Hotel it's balconies.
Thanks to it's location the Panorama Hotel is an ideal starting point for
hiking or cycling across the Moravian Karsts and it's environment. The Panorama Hotel offers you accommodation in 2- and 3 bedrooms (always
with a possibility of an extra bed) with sanitary facilities included, a satellite
TV, radio and telephone. The maximum capacity of the Hotel is 99 beds. The
Panorama Hotel is very spacious, airy, and bright in it's design. It
consists of three wings forming a U-shaped space enclosing the Hotel
atrium with a garden restaurant, an outside swimming pool, a fireplace,
volleyball and kickball court. Further Hotel facilities include an outdoor
tennis court with an artificial surface, a training tennis wall with a
children's basketball net, a grassy area with a mobile podium for summer
cultural events, Russian skittles and mountain bike rental. Behind the
Hotel is a manicured lawn sloping down to a pond, which is ideal for rest.
Our guests can relax by making use of a sauna for two persons, a larger
sauna for 10 persons, massage, table tennis facilities and a fitness
center. Guests may also play billiards or use the internet corner.
Activities connected with horse riding are more and more popular nowadays.
Our Guests can engager in horse riding a nearby Petrovice (13Km) or in the
Mala Obora horse ranch situated 1,5Km from the Hotel. It is specialized in
western horse riding and offers to stable private horses.
Conferences, seminars
and social events
Thanks to it's location in the Czech Republic, accessibility and easy
parking, the Panorama Hotel often organizes conferences, seminars, company
trainings and meetings. Among its significant customers are many Czech and
foreign firms, for whom the union of spaciousness and the technical
possibilities of the Hotel, together with the attractive price for its
services and the readiness of the Hotel management to realize even the
most unusual wishes of the clients are decisive. The Hotel has five lounges and one conference hall. All of them are
furnished with the appropriate demonstration equipment (overhead
projector, data projector, projection screen, TV, video, CD, flipchart).
The Hotel has at its disposal a professional sound system which is also
usable outdoors. Since 1995, the Hotel has focused on making the internet
accessible to its guests. Besides the internet corner, a fixed internet
line leads to the hall and one of the lounges which, together with the
data projector, broadens possibilities for the lectures. The Hotel Panorama also organizes large social events. The traditional
Hotel ball in the first week of March and the large children's "Fancy
dress ball", as well as the New Year's Eve program are only a small
example of our events. The Panorama Hotel organizes social events for its
guests up to a capacity of 250 people on the "turn-key" basis,
i.e. including a complete arrangement (music, lead dancing, competitions,
discotheque, dulcimer music, pianist, etc.). The services offered are
rounded out by gastronomic services including, in addition to traditional
cuisine, the preparation of hot and cold bashes, and the grilling of
turkeys, pigs, chickens and so on.
The Moravian Karst and the town of Blansko
The
Moravian Karst National Nature Reserve is a true jewel situated in the
close vicinity of the Panorama Hotel. The region is known to the world
mainly from the Macocha abyss (138 meters deep) and four caves open to the
public, namely: the Balcarka cava, Catherine's cave (Kateřinská
jeskyně), the caves of Sloup-Šošůvka (Sloupsko-šošůvské
jeskyně) and the Punkva caves (Punkevní jeskyně). The boat
cruise on the underground Punkva river ranks among the most popular
tourist attractions. The cruise starts at the bottom of the Macocha abyss
and follows a subterranean route for a length of 450 meters. You can walk
from the Hotel Panorama to the Moravian Karsts by taking the marked hiking
trail (approx. 3Km) or rent a bicycle in the Hotel. If you go by car, the
road is 12Km long and clearly marked with road signs. Transportation
within the Moravian Karsts is nature friendly. It means no motor vehicles
are allowed.

A
little road train will take you to Skalni mlyn (Rock mill) and back; traveling
by the funicular from the Punkva caves to the Upper Bridge of the Macocha
abyss will provide you with an unforgettable experience. The center of
Blansko with its square, the castle, a museum and the town hall is only a
distance of 3Km from the Hotel Panorama. The town is situated in a valley
and its developed area cannot be seen from the Hotel thanks to the terrain
relief, forest growth and its elevation. Blansko has more than 21000
inhabitants; it is a modern town with lots of green space. It features a Renaissance
castle, a museum with exhibitions devoted to the Moravian Karsts and the
history of iron and artistic cast iron production, as well as a Baroque
church dating back to the 17th century and a little wooden church from the
first half of the 17th century relocated to Blansko in 1936 from
Sub-Carpathian Ukraine. Klamovka, the last well-preserved ironworks from
the middle of the 19th century, is an interesting technical relic. The
town of Blansko equally offers many sporting and cultural opportunities to
its visitors. You can find an indoor pool, a lido, a winter stadium, the
Palava recreational artificial lake with a children's corner and a mini
golf course (situated 1,3Km from the Hotel), a skittle ground, a squash
hall, a ski slope with ski lifts and a cinema. The railway station on the
Brno-Hradec Kralove route and a modern hospital are also of significance for
visitors to Blansko. The surroundings of Blansko are rich in many sights
such as the castle in Rajec nad Svitavou, the castle in Lysice, the
brewery in Cerna hora, windmills in Rudice and Ostrov, Novy hrad (New
bridge) Františčina
hut' (Francis's iron casting) in Josefov,
the observation tower on the hill Podvrsi as well as dozens of other
tourist attractions. We at the Panorama Hotel will be ready to provide you
with more details on all of them and to make reservations for a
sightseeing. The Hotel Panorama issituated 25Km from the city Brno in the direction of
Svitavy and Blansko. Once you have driven in to Blansko, your route to the
Hotel is well marked with signs showing you the way from the edge of town
to the Hotel. You can also easily reach us by means of public
transportation. Blansko is accessible by train and / or bus, and at the
bus station one may take the bus in the Těchov, Češkovice
direction having a stop directly in front of the Panorama Hotel.
