"Hotel Plus" is situated in an interesting and beautiful tourist region called the Jánska dolina (Jánska Valley) and is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Low Tatras. Potok Štiavnica (Brook Štiavnica), rising in the Ďumbier granite massif as high as 2043 meters above the sea level, runs through it. Its waters have washed out plenty of cars cavities, pits and caverns. The valley provides a good habitat for wildlife and therefore is rich in endangered botanical and zoological species thus increasing its uniqueness. In winter Jánska dolina turns into a ski and offering possibilities for doing alpine sports taking rehabilitation treatments in 28°C thermal water.

Liptovsky Jan - Thermal bath
The village Liptovsky Jan is on the north side of Nizke Tatry in Janska valley. On fugacious height you’ll find a locality of thermal and mineral springs. They belong to cold and low thermal, carbonic, nitrogenous weakly mineralise hydrosulfide waters.

Native people call a cold springs "mädokys" and warm springs "teplica". In half of 19 century there were little baths build to cure screws and female ills a near of thermal springs. Joseph Gemersky build up the bath spa and the swimming-pool. He established in his manor-house, restaurant, Grand hotel Thermal (1929-30) and call it "Svatojanske Teplice". In baths building (now building special school), he build Strandove swimming pool. Thermal water used by people from nearby and from the surroundings too. The Svatojanske baths were known from Budapest till Germany before lst world war and a lot of visitors were coming to seek health. In the year 1963 the found a new borehole in depth of 95m with a temperature of 29,4°C. Beside this spring was build a spring-house called "Rudolf" and his water and water from next close boreholes were used for filling the basins, which are near by recreational center "May". The Springs in the village are the biggest source of mineral water in Slovakia (35 L per sec). Liptovsky Ján is a well-known vacation spot with pool with thermal water. South from the village is an area of summer thermal swimming pools and indoor swimming pools: 50 m basin, 2 child swimming pools, 1 idle basin, which use of spring "Rudolf" with temperature of water 28.2 °C. Thermal water have healing effects evincible for skin ills, motional tract, female ills, nervous and disease of heart and vessels too. Besenova Thermal bath
Thermal bath Besenova is situated 12 km eastern from Ruzomberok on right riverside of river "Vah". Here is 6 pools with the year round service. The thermal springs have a temperature up to 61°C. Water in the pool have about 36-40°C.

It is a spring from 1987 m under the surface and has the salutary effects on motion and breathing bodies, uric problems and have a good cosmetic effects. Lithium in the water make a positive psychological influence. Very good is bath in the open pool in winter, when the temperature is below zero point. The center provides relaxation massage, beach volley-ball, toboggan, comfortable sitting in restaurants. Now the thermal baths in Besenova are very popular and seek for a domestic and foreign visitors.

Liptovska Mara
Is a considerable recreation center in the summer. Liptovska Mara is a dam on the river Váh with execution 198 MW. It was build in the years 1969 till 1975. Height of the dam is 45 m and is the second biggest shoot dike in SR.

The dam with balanced reservoir can include 365 mil. m³ of water (most on SR). Under water are 13 flooded villages. The precious houses are removed to open-air museum in Pribylina - Gothic-renaissance manor-house from Parizovce, authentic Gothic churches from Liptovska Mara, Sielnica and valuable rustic houses of folk architecture. Only the particular church from Paludza is removed near to the village Lazisko. Year after year thousands campers relax here. Here you can take a bath, surf, go yachting, get school of windsurfing, floating by water bicycle, play mini golf, fishing, sailing by scenic boat Liptov - 80 seats - it everything provides in auto-camp Liptovsky Trnovec on northern shore of Liptovská Mara. In Trnovec is a beach, rental sporting facilities, mini golf, harbour, yacht port, rental boat, water safeguarding service, training centre of diver and the grassy beach. On the south shore near the highway is the well-known shed "Salas Dechtare", which offers typically Liptov`s foods. This centre is a very good starting point for tourist trips to Chocske hills, Západné (West) and Nizke (Low) Tatry. You can sail by a scenic boat since 1.7. till 31.8. - sailing time is 1 hour, the capacity of the ship is 50 people. (a minimum number is - 20) port - camping Lipt. Trnovec - 10.00, 12.00, 14.00 and 16.00 hours. Near to the dam is THE OPEN-AIR MUSEUM OF ARCHEOLOGY - Havranok. On the island - Ratkovie is arboretum with educational path.
