The
house
This big house which is
suitable for 10 persons has a Dutch owner and is located in the
picturesque area above the Lipno lake in the south of the Czech Republic.
The area is called Sumava or South Bohemia. It lies in the small village called Zlabek. This
village counts only 8 houses. From the back yard you'll have a view over
the hills and meadows and you'll even see a small part of the lake. From
the front yard you'll have a view on the lake Olsina. The house is
150 years old and for the last time renewed between 2002 and 2005. The
walls are 80cm thick. It means nice and cool in the summer and warm and
cozy in the winter. A road next to the house leads you to the first parts
of the lake Lipno. It's about 800 meters.
Accommodation
The house is very big and spacy en offers a lot of privacy. Even when you
are with 10 persons. The house offers 5 bedrooms. Each room has double
single beds. The perfect number of persons is actually 10, but the house
has a maximum capacity for 17 persons. The extra 7 beds are bunk beds
which you will find also in the bedrooms. There are 4 showers and 5
toilets. The open kitchen offers a big fire hearth-cooking-plate with oven
and grill possibilities. Next to this kitchen you'll find a dining room
with a capacity for 20 persons. Upstairs
is a living room with 48 square meters. It has an authentic South Bohemian
tile heater which uses wood. You can watch TV, play a DVD or CD. Bring
your own music. If you don't like the Czech bread, than you can bake your
own fresh bread with the bread-bake-machine.
About the kitchen: In the kitchen you'll find most everything you
need in a kitchen. For example: 6 spot fire hearth, big pots and pans,
cutlery, cups, plates and so on. There is a water cooker, a coffee maker,
a refrigerator and a freezer.
About the bedding: sheets and pillow covers you have to bring
yourself. Also towels for personal and kitchen use you have to bring
yourself. The house offers 3x a double quilt 2x a single quilt and 5x single
blankets + 14 very warm single blankets for cold winter days.
In
the summer
You can relax in this wonderful area. Healthy air, space, freedom and a
big lake within reach of the house. You have a view over meadows with cows
and it's not rare to see deer's. To see deer's is quit normal in the Czech
Republic. The house has 1700 meters own land with a volley ball field and
there is a place where you can have a barbecue. If necessary you can even
cut your own wood from the wood stock of the owner. The neighborhood
offers many possibilities for day trips. The most interesting attraction
is the preserved city of Cesky Krumlov. For more information you can click

In
the winter
Romantic white landscapes. The
house offers 2 heaters that burn on wood which guarantees a cozy warm
temperature. Lovely cozy warm evenings next to the hearth. In the winter
you can ski in Kramolin in Lipno nad Vltavou. It's lesser then 25 Km away
from the house.
Café’s,
restaurants, terraces and shops
The neighbor, 100 m next to the house, who has a small pub, serves cold
beers (1/2 liter) for only 0,50 Eurocents, and a simple meal you'll
already have for 3 Euro. On a regular base there is live music in that
pub, and you can even bring your own guitar. 2km away from the house in a
place called Hurka you'll find several pubs, restaurants and terraces. A
supermarket, bakery and a post office you'll find in Cerna v Posumavi. It
is 2.5Km away from the house.
