The town of Hradec nad Moravicí is a gateway to the picturesque valley of
the River Moravice. Dominant is the complex of the red and white castle
with its huge park. A visit is worth a while. There is a permanent
exhibition on the history of the castle, and a gallery with beautiful
original castle paintings. Famous people have lived in the castle, for
example: L. von Beethoven, W. A. Mozart, F. Liszt, and J. Mánes. The
fairytale atmosphere is complemented by an English park with an area of
approximately 63 hectares, which was originally built in the year 1796. An
Internet poll by the national Heritage, for which castle is the most
magical in the Czech Republic, was won by the Hradec castle. That was in
