Catering
An integral part of the guesthouse is a whole year round opened restaurant
with a delicious cuisine and a friendly staff. The capacity of the
restaurant can be extended up to 50 places, and is therefore suitable for
organizing family celebrations, wedding feasts or company events. Not only
our guests, but everyone is welcome to our restaurant. A nice place to
stay is also our pub with a fireplace and hearth and adjoining rooms with
vaulted ceilings, and beer from the tap. During the summer you can enjoy
outside on the terrace with barbecue (pork, fish, game or poultry), on in
the gazebo. Come, spend some time with us, relax, and forget the everyday
stress! On our menu you can find both cold and hot dishes, fried dishes,
fish specialties, pastas, salads and desserts. During the week days we
prepare an interesting daily meal for a convenient price. Drinks include a
wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and we are ready to
provide additional items on demand. The beer from our tap is called
Svijany, which becomes more and more popular among the beer lovers. The
quality of the Svijany beer has won a lot of prizes already, we believe
you will like it too! The wines served in our restaurant are exclusively
from the south-Moravian vineyards, so they are all pure Czech. Currently,
the Valtice winery with its traditional sign on the label, the goddess of
fertility, wealth and beauty floating on a cloud, is the biggest wine
grower in the Czech Republic, with a wide selection of quality wines, and
wines with attribute. You will definitely find one to your liking!

Tips for daytrips
Hiking tips - Just outside Prague,
the diverse landscape of the "Brdy" woods and rocks on the banks
of the river "Vltava", is a paradise for all nature lovers,
cyclists, tourists or mush roomers. At the same time you can find
dynamically evolving cities in the area, such as Příbram, a city
with a long coal mining history, or the city Dobříš, with a
beautiful castle and equally spectacular park. The tourist season opens
the gates to many monuments. Do not forget to visit the aristocratic
residences and castle parks, the museums, the memorials and the medieval
forts. The open-air museums and technical monuments are also worth seeing!
Přibram - Near to the city, silver was discovered in the 14th
century. In the 16th century, the city was promoted to a royal mining town
and the mining continued with intermissions until 1970.
In this period, the uranium mining grew more important, which made
the city thrive, but also brought great suffering to the people in the neighboring
forced labor camps. The old Příbram city center is situated around
the T. G. Masaryk's square and the baroque church of St. Jacob. We
recommend to visit: Important pilgrimage point Svatá Hora u Příbrami
- The mining museum Příbram - The monument Vojna na Březových
Horách (Battle at Březové hory) - Aquapark - Antonína Dvořák's
monument in Vysoká u Příbrami - T. G. Masaryk's monument at castle
Hluboš - The monument of the last battle of WW2 at Slivice.
Dobříš - The city on the Golden Route, which passed through
in the 10th century, was later popular among the Czech monarchs. They have
built castle Vargač here as a mansion for the royal hunter. In the
year 1630, the king sold the whole manor to Bruno Mansfeld, whose offspring's
still own the castle. In front of the castle there is a baroque-revival
church of the Holy Trinity and not very far from there is a cemetery with
a church of Saint Cross with a princely tomb. On the square, a few baroque
houses have been preserved - as well as a Classic town hall. In the city
there was a large Jewish community, whose Roman-revival synagogue is
nowadays used as a cultural centre. We
recommend to visit:
The Dobris castle with a French garden and an English park, and
Karel Čapek's monument at Stará Huť U Dobříše.
Sedlčany - A city on the boundary of Central and Southern
Bohemia used to be governed by Rosenbergs, Lobkowiczs, Jakub Krčín z
Jelčan a Sedlčan, but also by German soldiers, because during
the 2nd world war the inhabitants were moved out and the city was used as
a military training camp for SS units. Among the most interesting
monuments belongs the Gothic church of St. Martin which is dominant on the
central square, and the Renaissance-revival town hall from 1903. To the
fans of motor sports, the city is well-known for the Republic and European
championships in rally cross and autocross held in the Sedlčany
basin. We recommend to visit:
Open-air museum Vysoký Chlumec - Josef Suk's monument in Křečovice
- Kuníček lookout close to Petrovice.
