Boardinghouse Mlýn at the Macha lake
Boardinghouse Mlýn at the Macha lake once was called Stare Mlyn (Old mill), and is located in the center of the village "Stare Splavy", only 100 meters away from the beautiful Macha lake. Stare Splavy belongs geographically to the village of Doksy in the region of Liberec. The boardinghouse offers accommodation in 2 to 4 bed rooms. Half of the rooms has a private bathroom. The total capacity is 60 beds. The rooms are standard equipped, and in the summer months they are primarily reserved for family recreation. In the months from November to March it is more open for schools (school excursions), language courses, seminars, other courses, corporate parties, weddings, fitness and wellness stays, dance and sports classes, and many other events. Accommodatie mogelijkheden
Currently the house offer two categories of accommodation. That is, rooms with own sanitary facilities, and rooms with shared sanitary facilities on the floor. The total capacity is 60 beds.

Room 1 to 8: 2 to 4 bed rooms with shared facilities on the floor. Room 9 and 11: triple- and double room with private bathroom (suitable for families). Room 12: Double room with own bathroom. Room 14: apartment with 2 rooms and 4 beds and private sanitary facilities. Room 15 and 16: 2x a double room with bathroom (suitable for families). Room 17: Double room with own bathroom.  Room 18: Triple room with own bathroom.  Room 19: Double room with own bathroom.  Room 20: Double room with own bathroom.  Apartment: 2 to 4 persons - 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.

Furthermore, the house offers a breakfast room and a lounge for 30 persons, which may also serve as a TV room or library. There is a large room for about 90 persons (140 m2). We also offer a summer terrace with grill, volleyball court, place with campfire, bike shed, and a large private parking for 20 cars. Guests can park for free.

Entertainment, sport & tourism
Entertainment: The destination "Stare Splavy" has a 50 years-old tradition of water recreation for all age groups. Besides swimming, it offers many other recreational opportunities. Local physicians of previous centuries believed in the medical effect of the water. In particular for the lungs and nerves. The lake served as a spa resort. Beside swimming you can also enjoy the sand beach. There are many water attractions and a roller coaster. During the regular season both "Doksy" and "Stare Splavy" have possibilities for a steamboat cruise. With bad weather you can visit a cinema in Doksy, an indoor swimming pool in Hotel Bezděz, a massage can be booked, a salt cave can be visited, you can visit the "KH Macha" museum in  Doksy, and / or other museums nearby. There are enough restaurants, bars and cafes nearby, and the restaurant "Sklípek" is located just behind the house. In this restaurant our guests will have some privileges. There are also musical evenings and discos.
Sport: The offer of sport activities is very large. In "Stare Splavy" is a tennis complex with eight tennis courts. There are high-quality gravel courts, two asphalt courts and three playgrounds for children to play netball or volleyball. Requirements for tennis can be rented for a reasonable price. Close by you can play mini golf, and there is a structure available for the lovers of climbing. In the sport shop you can rent bicycles, but a walk on the clearly marked routes in the neighborhood is also possible. You can rent a boat, pedal boat, or a bicycle. There is a windsurfing school, and for sailing enthusiasts there is the local yacht club. For fisherman there is a local pool, and the owner offers fishing material to rent. In the summer you can also play beach volleyball.
Tourism: The large area is surrounded by hills and forests, with a number of castles and castle ruins on the tops of the hills and rocky ridges. An area that strongly invites for a ride by bicycle, or train, or even hiking. The forests are in season full of edible mushrooms, and the trails are a bit up and down. One of the most famous tourist attractions includes the castles "Bezděz", "Houska", "Skalní hrad Sloup", "Castle Lemberk", the castle ruins of "Jestřebí Bernštejna" the water lock "Zakupy", and a lttle further away "Castle Sychrov", "Castle Frýdlant", "Hrubý Rohovec" and many others. The neighborhood, an almost untouched nature, is a gently undulating landscape, and a challenge for any cycling enthusiast. There is a large network of cycle paths all the way to the former military area called "Ralsko". Hikers should definitely visit the protected nature area of "Peklo". This valley offers a romantic stroll through an area with rock walls.
